Florists is a photo-documentary "zine" I created as a way to physically share a photo project I completed. This project was made for the sole purpose of enjoyment, not for a class or client. Its inclusion here is to showcase my print-preparation capabilities.

I visited scores of florists' shops in the northern South Carolina and south-western North Carolina areas. My goal was to photograph the everyday "mundaneness" of local flower shops. There are no physical floral chain stores——only mom & pop florists run by people who truly care about floristry as an art. That is what I attempted to capture in these images.

This entire project was shot on 120 Kodak Portra 400 film. The physical book that was printed was 52 full color 7x10" pages, perfect bound with a 100lb. soft touch laminated cover.
